Block 3: My Schools Network: Online feedback geven

Hello Demir,

Thank you for sharing your hobby on MySchoolsNetwork.

Let me start by a little introduction of myself. My name is Rick, and I am currently studying to become an elementary school teacher in The Netherlands. Originally, I self-taught how to write code and have done so for over ten years now. Therefore, I really feel the joy and satisfaction that comes with creating something from scratch and seeing it come to life. I appreciate your enthusiasm for our mutual passion, and it's great to see someone pursuing their interests and hobbies.

While I really appreciate your contribution, it might be helpful to future readers if you were to include some more details. For example, you could mention what kinds of projects you enjoy working on, what languages or frameworks you prefer (perhaps Bash, or Java, or PHP/Laravel, or maybe focus on frameworks, such as Flask), and what challenges you have faced and overcome. Maybe you could even add some pointers for others on how to get started with coding, in order to spread the word. 👍

Finally, it's fantastic that you included a picture to illustrate your contribution. It was a helpful way to enhance your message and, in fact, was the primary feature that made me click on your entry.

Keep up the good work, and I wish you all the best in your coding endeavors! Please, feel free to reach out if you feel like doing so; for example if you are in need of someone to discuss a coding matter with. 🤗

Regards,
Rick

Hello Mert,

I wanted to compliment you on your short but insightful contribution. Your passion for music is evident in your words, and I completely agree with your sentiments. Music is indeed an amazing and inspiring thing that has the power to uplift and transform us. It is a universal language that connects people from all walks of life and cultures, and I appreciate how you recognise its importance in our lives.

I felt the need to commend you on your use of the English language. Your writing is clear and concise, and your sentences flow well. Your spelling is excellent, which makes your contribution easy to read and understand. I read your profile and saw you are living in Turkey and only are ten years old. This is outstanding to see, because learning English in a difficult language as Turkish, and at this young age is a great achievement. Be aware, that back when I was your age, I was unable to read or write English at all ;-)

Keep up the good work, and I hope you continue to pursue your love for music with the same enthusiasm and passion that you have demonstrated in your writing.

Regards,
Rick

Dear Nieck,

Thank you for sharing your hobby with us. I appreciate you having shared your thoughts in English. It's great to see your passion for football/soccer, and I can really feel your enthusiasm for this hobby.

I think it is important to acknowledge the positive aspects of your assignment. Your message comes across clear, and your love for football/soccer shines through.

I encourage you to continue practicing your writing skills, and to keep working on improving your grammar and expanding your vocabulary. With continued effort and practice, I have no doubt that you will be able to express yourself even more effectively in English.

Keep up the good work and stay motivated!

Hello Boukje,

Thank you for sharing your experiences with our German neighbors!

I really wonder where you have been, as every place I have ever been in Germany has always been of a climate similarly cold as to home (Groningen, The Netherlands). Seeing you are from Leeuwarden, the place I study at, it is nice to see a fellow "Northener" around here :-)

For someone at the age of 12, I should tell you that your English is superb. It is easy to read through and just has one slight spelling mistake (diliscious -> delicious). That said, it does not change your story at all; I, personally, think a German "bratwurst" is very "diliscious" as well ;-)

Regards,
Rick

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Ilgın! Great job! Your contribution, I find to be really complete.

You provided a clear and concise description of your favorite place, Perşembe Yaylası (Thursday Plateau), and you even included some additional information about the famous food and the people there.

You also used English language effectively, with a few minor spelling and grammar mistakes. To improve further, you can try using capital letters at the beginning of sentences and proper punctuation. For example, instead of "ı" it would be "I" for the pronoun "I".

Overall, you've done a great job expressing yourself and conveying why Thursday Plateau is your favorite place. Keep up the good work!

Rick.

Hello Demir,

Thank you for sharing your favourite place with us! While it's great that you've identified London as your favorite place, your contribution could benefit from further detail.

It would be helpful to me, and the other readers, if you could expand your contribution to include for example:

  • Where it is: Include more specific details about where London is located, such as the country or region.
  • What it looks like: Provide some details about the physical appearance or notable landmarks of London that make it your favorite place.
  • Why it is your favorite place: Share more information about why you like London, such as the culture, people, or experiences you have had there.

Additionally, to improve your usage of the English language, try to be more specific in your language and use proper capitalization and punctuation.

By providing more detail and using proper English language conventions, you can make your contribution more engaging and enjoyable to read. Keep up the good work!

Rick.

Hello Selen!

Thank you for sharing your favorite place with us. It is great that you have stated where your favorite place is.

Additionally, you have mentioned that Kapadokya has many funny places, but can you perhaps elaborate on this statement? Perhaps you can give me examples of funny places?

I have been planning a trip to Turkey for a while now, and having your more in-depth experience (recommendation) would be of great help to me.

What specific aspects of the place make it so beautiful to you? Is it the history and culture of the area, or the activities and experiences available there?

Let me know!

BYE!

Rick

Hey Agah!

I just wanted to say a big thank you for sharing your contribution with us!

Have you ever been to California? I've heard it's a really cool place! Can you tell us where it's located and what it looks like? I would love to know more about it.

You only state that they produce video games (Roblox) and dairy products (milk). Is that really the most spectacular thing that is typical for California?

Thanks Agah! Can't wait to hear more from you.

Regards,
Rick
